Crowne Plaza
Crowne Plaza A number of myths have been associated with the monumental structure of Crowne Plaza Prague since its day one. At the beginning of the 1950s, the position of the communist party seemed unshakeable. Alexej Čepička, the then Minister of Defense, had unlimited decision-making competencies and the pompous hotel construction, which had an ambition of becoming one of the symbols representing the republic of that day, started to take shape namely thanks to his incentive. The interior decorations were contributed to by a number of really significant artists, not only the politically preferred ones - names like Cyril Bouda or Max Švabinský are the best known examples, but the long enumeration is still far from ending here.. The building itself is located just a quick drive from the Prague Airport and within a short distance from the Prague Castle and the city centre. Nowadays, the Crowne Plaza Prague hotel is the state protected monument. It offers 254 rooms and one of the largest conference facilities in Prague. With 15 meeting rooms and the Congress Hall for up to 350 guests it is a perfect convention location. All meeting rooms have a day-light and air-condition system and regardless to numerous reconstructions they have still preserved the style of 1950´s. A brand new iPad can be now given to everyone, who will book and spend more than EUR 20,000 with a group or conference between February 1st and April 30th, 2011!
